Anyways, I decided to go in to see what it was all about, as I liked the name 'Complexion Rescue' (who wouldn't though?) and decided to swatch a bit on the inside of my wrist and on the back of my hand. Oh. My. Days. I instantly fell in love with it - the texture, the smell, the coverage, everything! I knew that I just had to get my hands on it, but as a broke young girl, I wanted to really make sure that it was for me before I parted with my money, so, like an ultimate creeper I went in everyday on my lunch break to test it out even more, experimented with the different shades and what not, while also reading reviews online like a hawk. By my third or fourth visit, I was fairly satisfied that I wanted to buy the product to actually try it on my face, so I went in on my lunch break as usual. It is worth noting that the staff on the Newbridge counter are always very helpful and extremely friendly, and I am one of those weirdos that wants to know everything that there is to know about a product, so I was delighted to see a friendly face by the name of Sarah on Friday when I went in. Sarah took her time to really chat to me about the new product, and told me everything that I would possibly want to know about it, from what it is, to how to use it, to how she likes to use it.
I am a full coverage foundation kinda gal, so I was a bit hesitant of the coverage that this would provide, but she explained to me that she uses her 'Complexion Rescue' and then dusts her Original Mineral Foundation over it for a more full coverage affect. I was totally sold and wanted to put it to the test, so she offered me a sample so I could do just that. She gave me a very generous sample and I told her I'd be back in to let her know how I got on.
TRIAL ONE:
I work two jobs, so finding the time to actually sit down and try it out was a bit of a struggle. So it wasn't until Sunday that I got to give it a try. I self tan quite regularly so Sarah gave me a colour to match my tan as opposed to my face, and she got it spot on. I used my Real Techniques 'Buffing Brush' to apply it all over my face, stippling rather than actually buffing as I wanted to get the most coverage I could out of it. It is a sheer-to medium coverage gel formula that it quite buildable but best done in small doses. I then added my BareMinerals Original Mineral Foundation on top of it like Sarah had suggested, and it was actually flawless. I'm not messing, it was beautiful.I only needed the tiniest amount of the mineral foundation and I had a full coverage-airbrushed looking finish. I was blown away with how lovely it was. I then decided to set all of it with my Rimmel Match Perfection Translucent powder (just to be safe as I had an 8 hour shift that day) and I was good to go. The shop that I work in is very warm all of the time, so it is impossible to work with your hair down or to attempt to keep your makeup on your face all day, but this honestly was completely sweat proof, smudge proof and lasted all day perfectly, only having to blot around my nose at my lunch break. I was very impressed.TRIAL TWO:
The second time I used this I decided to use it a little differently, just to see how it worked. I applied my L'Oreal Lumi Magique Illuminating primer all around the outside of my face, and my Benefit POREfessional along my t-zone, and then applied a generous layer of my complexion rescue with my damp Beauty Blender. I thought if I used my Beauty Blender, I might be able to build it up to a fuller coverage and not use my original mineral foundation. I'm not gonna lie I was fairly disappointed with how this went, I found myself using alot of under eye concealer ( Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer) and then my thick blemish covering concealer to cover the scarring on my jawline/chin. ( Mac Studio Finish). and then setting it all in place with my Mac Prep+Prime translucent powder. I found myself not totally happy with the coverage and wanting to add a bit of my Studio Fix or Original Mineral Foundation but I didn't because I would just look seriously caked. Which is not a good look and I just know I'd be covered in sores and blackheads if I even attempted to put anymore products on my face. Think I'll stick to the original way I used it. Though I will give it another go with the beauty blender and then my mineral foundation over it.

WHAT I SAY:
I totally agree with what they say about improving skin texture and hydration, my skin feels very moisturized and much smoother after use of this product.m It also is very lightweight on the skin, doesn't feel as heavy as a foundation. I do however have to blot a good bit throughout the day, because my skin is very oily. I really like this I think it does an amazing job combined with the Original Mineral Foundation for a flawless yet lightweight everyday feel. Very impressed with it in that regards, but as a BB cream on its own; it didn't work for me because I have a lot of dark scarring and dark under eyes which it doesn't 100% cover, but if you are literally looking for something to just even out your skin and what not, this is a must. I would also suggest that people with oily skin set this gel with a powder, and carry a blotting powder on them during the day, as it can get a bit shiny after a couple of hours, but it is very very good. I will purchase this product when pay day comes around!
I do feel though, that it is worth noting, had I not spoken to Sarah on the Newbridge counter and she had not explained how she uses her original mineral foundation over it, that I probably wouldn't have thought to do this and wouldn't have liked it half as much, so thank you Sarah :) I hope your manager see's this and gives you a nice reward for being a real help to a happy customer!

Oh no god someone else who is obsessed with BM just as much as me! It's amazing isn't it! People always comment on my skin being 'flawless' - but it's all BM! I love it so much! X
