Long time no blog-and I'm back with a bang of a post! Yes, as you've guessed by the title of this post, I recently got a semi permanent eyebrow treatment done and I'm here to tell you all about how it went!
Okay, so let me hit with you a bit of info of the company that I got my eyebrows done with! The Brand is called Ecuri Cosmetics which are based in the Nederlands and specialise in Micropigmentation. The founders of Ecuri then came up with the concept of 'Get Beautiful Brows Fast' with their new 'Hair Stroke Razor Technique' which is basically a method of applying micropigmentation to the skin.
THE BEFORE:
HOW IT WORKS:
How the 'Hair Stroke Razor Technique' works is basically they use a very thin and small razor edge to break the skin in small hair like slits, and then they deposit the coloured pigment into these slits and kind of rub it in, which in turn creates a thin hair like stroke of colour. It is designed for people with hair loss that say, have no/very little eyebrows etc. The first session lasts roughly 4-6 weeks and then you get a top up which then lasts two years. The full healing time is approximately 4-6 weeks also.
THE PROCESS:
Now, it says on their website that this treatment is 'virtually painless' ... I am in two minds about this statement. It did not hurt me one bit to get done, it was after that my skin around my eyebrows was very stingy.
It also says 'takes 15 minutes for each brow' I also do not agree with this. The whole process took about an hour and a half, and I only got the Tail of my eyebrow drawn on, so I can only imagine how long it would take if I had to get the whole eyebrow done! That being said, it was by no means uncomfortable or dragged out and the lady that did my brows was absolutely lovely and I was absolutely delighted with the finished product!
The woman that was doing my eyebrows really listened to what I said I wanted and let me hold the mirror up for every step to make sure it was exactly perfect for me, which I have to say I was delighted with!
They say to avoid having very hot steamy showers for about 5 days, avoid heavy cleansing and washing of the face and wear no makeup for at least 3 days to prevent any infection as they are open wounds that need to heal.
THE AFTERMATH:
It has now been two days since I got the eyebrows done and although a bit stingy here and there, I am absolutely delighted with the results! Before I got the treatment done I had long very thin eyebrows with literally no arch at all, so that was the main thing that I wanted to be put in along with the thickening of the tails. If I'm 100% honest, I probably will still fill my eyebrows in when I am wearing make up, but YAY to brows when I have none on!!
I am absolutely over the moon with the results of my Ecuri treatment and will definitely be getting a top up so they will last the two years!
I will definitely post an update in about a week, just to let you know how they're going and how quickly I can get back to normal showers and cleansing!! This was just a quick post to tell you about how my treatment went and what not!
