I personally am a drugstore make up kinda girl and I'm forever buying and trying new products, so whatever your needs are gal, I got you covered!
Righteo, let's just jump right into it...
Primers:
- L'Oreal Infallible Matte 24hr Primer.
This primer is very good and does exactly what it says it will do, keeps my make up on all day in work, keeps me from getting all oily and dewy throughout the day so I barely have to do any touch ups, the only think that I dont like about this primer is that it is very drying on the skin, so make sure you have your face really well moisturised before and after use. Other than that I love it!
Now, there are three different primers in the baby skin range; poreless primer, cool rose and warm apricot. I really like all three of these primers, my favourite would probably be the original baby skin (blue bottle) as it really does do a great job at minimising pores and fine lines. Only dislike with this is the same as above, can be very drying on your skin. Also with this primer, I do have to touch up my t-zone with powder more often than others.
Oh. My. Gosh. I absolutely love this primer. As I've mentioned before in my posts, I have oily skin so the dewy effect is something that I get regardless of whether I want it or not. I usually use one of the above mentioned primers on my t-zone and then use this on the remainder of my face and my oh my does it make my skin luminous. It gives my face such a healthy and fresh looking glow that looks like its coming from within. I just love it! I also double the usage up and sometimes use it as a liquid highlight on the top of my cheekbones over my make up.
Foundations:
This stuff is fab. I love it. Its medium to full coverage and you can certainly build it without it feeling clumpy and cakey on the skin. It lasts all day and comes in a range of warm and cool colours. Who doesn't love this foundation?!
This foundation is literally to die for. I am so obsessed with it, especially with the primer to match. It just gives the skin such a fresh and glowy appearance with a slight dewy finish without looking like you've dipped your head in a deep fat fryer. Medium to full coverage, also smells quite nice. Love.
I really like this foundation as like a night time look if I want to use liquid foundation. Its super full coverage, but not cakey and cracky in fine lines and it lasts for hours on the skin. Like I can come home after a night out and my foundation would still be absolutely perfect. I also love the fact that this foundation comes in two different types; normal/oily and normal/dry. I just find this so convenient and brilliant, they have something for everyone!
BB/CC Creams:
I actually use this as a primer sometimes if I'm wearing liquid foundation, it doesn't give much coverage which is great when I'm having a clear skin day where I have no spots and blemishes; which unfortunately is a rare occasion for me. It's great for that no make up look if you just want to even out your complexion but other than that I wouldn't use it on its own.
I actually love this BB cream. It's genuinely really really good! It comes in two different shades which is convenient as most brands only come in one shade. (Grrrr) It also gives really good coverage which is what I am most impressed with. I would use this BB cream on its own with maybe a tint of concealer over my blemish prone skin and my typical Irish red face. Also the reason I think this really impressed me because my sister, who has had acne for the last couple of years and is so picky with what she puts on her face, in so far as it has to be full coverage and paraben free etc. uses this quite a lot. The salicylic acid is very good for our oily skin without over drying it and she just adds a few dots of her favourite concealer and she's good to go. That is how I know this BB cream is good, because Katie is one tough cookie to please when it comes to her foundation!
Setting Powders:
This is my Holy Grail setting powder. I use the shade Transparent, and I love it. It does such a good job at setting my concealer and foundation in place and keeping it there all day. I also love the fact it makes my skin literally feel like silk after I apply it. LOVE!
- Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder.
I think this is probably the most popular drugstore setting powder. It comes in 6 different shades, 2 cool and 2 warm, 2 neutral. Keeps my make up in place all day and Does a great job of mattifying my t-zone.
Out of the two pressed powders by Rimmel, this one is my favourite. It smells lovely, feels lovely and doesn't cake on your skin no matter how much you apply. I absolutely love this, and have done probably from the get go of when I started to wear makeup. It also gives you a little bit of extra coverage aswel if that's what you're after. Brilliant powder!
This powder is so good. It is so easy to blend, so pigmented and creamy; I love it. It comes in a variety of shades from transparent to very warm and it can give you extra coverage over your foundation aswel. It's fab, compact and so convenient to pop in your handbag for touch ups.
Concealer/Cream Highlight:
This is like, the best stuff ever. Its such a good drugstore dupe for the Mac Pro Longwear Concealer also. It gives amazing coverage, isn't at all drying on the under eye area, covers dark circles so well, doesnt crease in my little lines under my eyes and really does highlight your face beautifully. I absolutely LOVE this concealer, I think it is the best one to ever be produced from the drugstore!!
This is probably the second best concealer from the drugstore. Some even say that it is comparable to the Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer, only it's like half the price. It gives great coverage and also does a good job at highlighting the face.
This concealer is so good for a good cream highlight. I use it in the second lightest shade ( because the lightest shade is actually white) and I love this for a good cream highlight. It contains no SPF so you wont get any flashback in photos and it is definitely buildible from medium to full coverage.
This little pen is very comparable to the Mac Prep + Prime Highlighter pen. It comes in two shades; one warm and one cool. It literally gives no coverage so you couldnt use it on it's own unless that was what you were going for. I like to apply this on top of my concealer.cream highlight just to give it that extra highlight and glow. It is absolutely gorgeous worn like this. Very very good, for how cheap it is compared to the mac pen.
Cream Contours:
This concealer comes in a stick form which makes it super easy to carve out the contour that you want. It is extremely creamy and buttery which makes it very easy to blend. It also ranges from very light to very dark so there's a shade out there for everyone.
Yes, I have another one of these. Haha! I have this in the second darkest shade for contouring and it does it perfectly. It comes with a little applicator tip which makes it very easy to apply and place it exactly where you want it. Its so easy to blend and just looks and feels gorgeous!
Powder Contours:
I have this in the medium shade and I have to say, for how cheap it is, it's pretty good. The Contour shade it a cool ashy/taupe colour which sometimes I find really hard to blend but most of the time it's fine. It's like the perfect shade for carving out your cheekbones!
Like the Rimmel Powder, this one is an oldie but a goldie. I have used this since I was about 13 and I have always loved it. It's more on the warm side but it is matte so that makes it good for contouring or just bronzing up the face to warm up your complexion. It also works great as a transition shade in the crease or as an all over eye shadow.
- NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder.
This one is an absolute ringer for Benefits HOOLA bronzer. No Lie. I finally managed to get my hands on this when I was in Newcastle and I have instantly fallen in love. It is a warm shade, but it's so creamy and east to blend and does such a good job I just love it so much.

Powder Highlighters:
This is like the perfect champagne shade of highlight ever. It can be built up from a subtle glow to an intense shimmer highlight depending on what you want from it. Its gorgeous, and the packaging is great too!
I love this little pallette. It's just so handy with the 3 different powders in it, perfect for travelling! The highlight is a champagne gold colour which is absolutely faaaab. Only thing is that it's not very pigmented so you really have to work your brush into it to get a good bit of it on your cheekbones.
This. Oh. My. Good. God. This is actually just to die for. It comes in two different shades, one gold and one pinky toned one. They are so beautiful. I don't even know what else to say. They are so so pigmented and perfect and so cheap like. LOVE.
Brow Products:
This pencil is really really good, I would say that it is a good dupe for the Anstasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, in so far as the actual nib of the pencil is so thin at the top its very easy to get that natural kind of look and the immitation of little hairs. The only thing I don't like about it is that all of the colours seem to be a bit off. Like my hair colour is a pretty dark chocolate brown kind of a colour, and the pencil I use is dark blonde which matches perfectly. A bit annoying considering I first purchased the dark brown and now have no use for it as it is nearly black. But in the right shades it is a great eyebrow pencil.
This is another dupe for Anastasia Beverly Hills, except this time it's the pomade. This stuff is literally the exact same stuff and is super pigmented and a little goes a long way. LOVE.
This is my Holy Grail eyebrow pencil. Like I've mentioned before I am a brow girl, so I am always open to trying new products but somehow I always find myself going back to this pencil and my Dipbrow Pomade by Anastasia Beverly Hills. It's just, in my opinion, the best one out there.
This one is a complete dupe for the benfit browzings which I so dearly love, except it is literally a third of the price and just as good. This is really good to use in conjunction with an eyebrow pencil if you have sparse brows or just on its own if you already have fuller brows that don't need drawing on but just more of a fill in of colour.
This is the same as mentioned above, can be used the same way also. I wouldn't necessarily say it is as good as the benefit brow kit but it is definitely not far behind, and its 4 Euro. Cannot go wrong.
Eyeshadows:
I am obsessed with these. Like, they are such a good dupe for the Mac Paint Pots and so much cheaper, although I do find the mac ones are a bit better, these are definitely not far behind though. I even use the black one as my gel eyeliner.
These are probably the best bargain buy in the drug store. The eyeshadows are so buttery and creamy and SO pigmented it's unreal. They come in so many different styles and colours and are only about a tenner each, definitely worth it gals!
I really like these little pallettes that you can get in penneys or any little chemist, they are only about 4 euro. They're not the most pigmented eyeshadows I've ever used but they're very good for what you pay for.
These are by far my favourite drugstore pallettes. The quality of them is actually just so so good for how cheap they are.
Eyeliners:
This, in my opinion is the best drugstore eyeliner on the market. It is so creamy and so pigmented, literally it is the blackest black ever. very good dupe for the Mac Eye Kohl.
This is by far my favourite drugstore liquid eyeliner. It's just so good, so pigmented and the little brush is so tiny so its really easy to do small, thin and precise lines.
This is my favourite drugstore eyeliner pen. It's so easy to use and so pigmented I just love it, and you can't beat the price either.
This stuff is super pigmented and super creamy. love it. Lasts all day on my eyes as long as it is set with a little black eyeshadow, it won't budge.
Mascara:
This mascara. Oh wow. It is the best mascara from the drugstore 100%. It's a little pricey at 16 euros but considering most people pay nearly double that for the benefit 'They're Real!' and this one is 100 times better, it's worth it.
This is also a very very good mascara considering how cheap it is. It adds great length to your lashes and then you can head it with another coat to give volume at the roots. Very fond of this one also.
Blush:
I have this pallette in the medium shade and I have to say, I'm not really a blush wearing kinda gal, but I do actually like the one that comes in this. It's a beautiful Rose Gold colour that just gives such a lovely healthy glow to your face when applied.
I have 2 natural collection blushes, I don't wear blush often and so that's why I don't have that many, but I always like to have some in handy when I'm doing someone's makeup. I have Peach Melba, which is a complete dupe for Mac's 'Melba' and I do really like it. This is the blush I would first reach for if I decided I wanted to wear some.
Lipsticks:

Tanning:
Oldie but a goodie. Cant beat it for an instant bronzed look.
This tan is just so good. I love how buildible it is over the course of a few days. Just wish it was a bit easier to scrub off. I love the colour of it though.
This is like 4 euro in penneys and it is way better than the St. Moriz. For some reason the St. Moriz just looks awful on me no matter how hard I try or how careful I am at applying it. Gutted.
