REVIEW - BENEFIT ROLLER LASH MASCARA ! !

Okay ladies, it's review time again! As you probably know by now, I love mascara. If I had to chose just two makeup products for the rest of my life, it would be mascara and my brow products!
So, the new Benefit mascara 'Roller Lash' came to my attention while I was browsing my local Debenhams a few weeks ago, and I must admit, I was very reluctant to purchase it. I absolutely adored 'They're Real!' when it came out first and for a good few months after, until I realized how painfully stubborn it is to get off - even with the 'Theyre Real!' Remover!!! - But also I noticed how limp and lifeless my own eyelashes were from using it and it not being removed properly. My lashes were destroyed and I've only gotten them back to normal now after a few months and applying lots of vaseline at night time. ANYWAY.....

I ended up giving in and buying the mascara as there was 10% off which made it only 23 Euro (I m a sucker for a sale/bargain) and was praying to god that it was good. I had read lots of reviews that it was very good, and I had just watched GossMakeupArtist's youtube review the night before, and if he says something is good I will buy it. The man is a makeup genius!! (Sorry I'm kind of rambling on now..)

So I got home and was very very excited to try it out. The 'hook 'n' roll' brush promises 'eye opening' and an 'instant curling' which 'holds for 12 hours'. It also contains pro vitamin B5 which is a key hair conditioning ingredient, and it brightly states 'Easy-To-Remove'.

I decided when I was using it, that I would put it through a number of tests in order to write a good review.

TEST ONE: LENGTHENING.

It is extremely lengthening. I actually couldn't believe my eyes with how long it made my eyelashes, safe to say I was fairly chuffed.
I was genuinely very surprisingly blown away by this mascara! I was extremely wrong for assuming it was going to be another fad like 'They're Real!'.

TEST TWO: 'INSTANT CURL' & 'NO MORE LASH CURLERS'.

I used an eyelash curler on one eye and not the other, just to see how it measured up.
On the eye that I used the eyelash curler I was so impressed with the results. My lashes were longer and curlier than ever before! And I have very straight eyelashes which are a pain. But I was very impressed with how my lashes looked, thumbs up!
On the eye that I didn't use a curler I just went straight in with the mascara wand and was also very pleased. Because I have naturally straight lashes, it too a bit more work that usual to get the desired curl, but it definitely did do a great job at curling my lashes without a curler. I was very impressed, even if it did take about a minute longer than usual it was worth it. The result was beautiful.

TEST THREE: BOTTOM LASHES.

I literally have no bottom lashes and for some reason, I find it really hard to apply mascara to them. Well, not anymore!! This brush is slightly curved so flipped the opposite way to my eye it is an absolute dream to apply to your bottom lashes or the very inner corner of your top lashes. The brush caught and coated every single one of my bottom lashes and made it looked like I actually had lovely long bottom lashes!
Very Impressed!

TEST FOUR: VOLUME.

This mascara is definitely not for volume. It gives great length but not a great amount of volume at all, which for me is totally fine, I just want longer looking lashes. When I do want to add a bit of volume I just wiggle my 'Scandal Eyes' Rimmel Mascara at the roots of my lashes afterwards and Bobs your uncle!

TEST FIVE: LASTING POWER.

This mascara lasts all day. No joke. The curl stays perfectly intact all day long and the mascara itself actually stays on my lashes as opposed to dripping down my face a few hours after application!
SUCCESS :)

TEST SIX: THE REMOVAL.

This mascara promises to be 'easy to remove' & it is exactly that. It is waterproof but nothing that a good oil based eye-makeup remover can't handle. It only took me one small round cotton pad with a generous amount of eye-makeup remover per eye to actually get it off. I was astonished to say the least! A good test to see if you have all your eye make up off is to rub a small amount of vaseline on them and then rub with a cotton pad. Vaseline is also a good makeup remover so if there is any left over, this will take it off. When I did this, no mascara came off on my cotton pad. I was very pleased.
Also my lashes didn't feel dry and damaged after wearing it all day and then removing it, which is a huge plus for me. My lashes are liable to fall out on removal from a long day of wearing eye makeup which is also a pain.

The Overall Conclusion:

I honestly love this mascara. I am totally sold! Can it be that we have finally been given the perfect mascara?! Like I said, I'm sold. I'm also really intrigued to see how it goes in the long term, if it effects my lashes like the last mascara, though you can really feel the Pro Vitamin B5 in the formula on application so right now, I don't think it will have the same affect. Loving this mascara!

Let me know what you guys think of it and if you would like a video demonstration?
