What's in my makeup bag?..

As a working gal, and like most young people, early mornings are not my forté.

Sometimes on a rare occasion I will have the energy to get out of bed those few minutes earlier to allow myself time to put my face on before I leave, however, majority of the time this is not the case!! Haha :) 

In this event, I always have a small makeup bag with me with the necessary items to do my face in my office before I start work. These are my favourite everyday makeup bits that helps me achieve the appropriate and simple makeup look suitable for work! 

I tend to keep it quite simple for the days I am working. 

I will always always always have my face washed and moisturised before I leave my house ESPECIALLY in this cold weather a good moisturiser is VITAL! So it means by the time I get into work, I can put my makeup on straight away as my moisturiser is no longer sitting on the surface of my skin. 

First thing I do is use my beloved BareMinerals Primer and Foundation, I am obsessed with this foundation it is just so flawless and quick. I use the colour Golden Medium for when I have a bit of tan on, and Fairly Light when I have none on. If you haven't tried this foundation - you should. It is amazing. 

Next I will set that foundation with the Rimmel Match Perfection silky loose face powder in the colour transparent. This is such a brilliant setting powder it quickly over took my Mac Prep+Prime Ttransparent powder compact. Yes, it's that good.

Following this I will start with my brows, I quickly fill them in with my holy grail- Browzings by benefit in the shade Medium. I will then use my favourite brow product ever, Gimme Brow also by benefit. (This stuff is magic. I have very sparse brows due to over plucking, and using this nobody can tell. It really really makes a huge difference!!) 

I keep my eyes quite neutral for work, I rarely put any eyeshadow on, I will however dust I small bit of Frisk from the Naked Basics 2 pallet over my eyelid just to stop my foundation creasing. Then I will use a tiny bit of Skimp to highlight the inner corner of my eye and under my eyebrow, I then follow that with High Brow Glow by benefit on both of these areas that I have highlighted, just to give it that little something extra! 

For contour and bronzer I use the Warmth by BareMinerals. And love it!! It's very very pigmented so you have to be careful on application. I stayed away from it for years because I was afraid of it, now I know how to use it I love it! I just this under my cheekbones, top of my forehead, down the sides of my nose and just under my chin and jaw line. 

Moving on to mascara, I am absolutely LOVING the L'Oreál Telescopic. It is absolutely brilliant. I actually find this even better than the Benefit They're Real! mascara which I have sworn by for about 2 years! It just really adds lengths to your lashes and it is a jet black. I love this stuff. Looking forward to trying the FalseLash Effect version of this mascara. So much love for it.

Last but not least, the lips!! I always wear lipstick. No matter what. When I was younger I used to sport that awful foundation on the lips look. It literally makes me cringe thinking about it. I usually go for a nude/neutral lip colour for work and HoneyLove by mac is perfection. It is a gorgeous matt shade with gorgeous pigmentation and suitable for anybody. Love it! I also overdraw my lips to get that Kylie Jenner look, so I would use either Spice or Boldley Bare lip liners by mac first before applying lipstick.

And that's my face done :) I always carry my mac Studiofix powder with me in my bag, just for any touch ups during the day. I use the colour NC42.
